Willamette Technical Fabricators is a custom, complex, structural metal manufacturing company. Our facilities are located on the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon, and the Columbia River in Vancouver, Washington. We specialize in building transportation and clean energy infrastructure, including bridges, hydropower dams, floating offshore wind and ocean energy devices.
As a Certified Benefit Company committed to a quadruple bottom line of people, planet, profit, & purpose, our methods are aligned with our values to promote social, environmental, and economic sustainability.
Willamette Technical Fabricators was admitted into the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program in August, 2024, and is a certified Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Business (EDWOSB) and certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by the Departments of Transportation in all 50 states and Washington, DC. These certifications were contingent on our ability to successfully complete multiple competitive government contracts, including hydropower dam bulkheads, flood control gates, and sluiceway gates. Based on our proven success on these projects and the rigorous 8(a) application process, we are now eligible for direct awards for fabrication projections up to an estimated $7.5 million. 8(a) direct award procedures can help to streamline the acquisition process and reduce the overall amount of time to award, while providing a fair and reasonable price to the government. Information shared by our home SBA District in Portland shows that the majority of direct awards were made at or below the government’s estimate, providing both excellent value and efficiency to the procurement process.
